A one-day exhibition of handicrafts and home-based businesses was held in the Dasht tourism target village.

The head of the Garmeh County Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Agency announced the holding of an exhibition of handicrafts and home crafts in Dasht village with the aim of empowering female artists.

According to the Miras-Aria reporter, Vahid Mahmoudifar announced the news and said: This exhibition was held on Wednesday, August 4th, in cooperation with the Carbon Sequestration Project of the Natural Resources and Technical and Vocational Education Department of Garmeh County.

The head of the Garmeh County Cultural Heritage Agency added: “The purpose of holding this event was to familiarize women and artists of the Dasht tourism-targeted village with the potential of handicraft and home-based businesses and to create a suitable platform for presenting local artistic products.”

Referring to the status of Dasht village as one of the tourist destinations in Garmeh County, Mahmoudifar stated: “Developing home-based businesses and handicrafts can play an effective role in sustaining the population, creating sustainable employment for women, and boosting the local economy.”
