Description of duties of the protection unit

1- Preparing and implementing the necessary plans for the protection of museums, buildings, grounds, hills and historical collections

2- Preventing unauthorized excavations – Preventing the smuggling of cultural property – Preventing encroachment on the sanctity of historical monuments – Preventing encroachment on hill lands and religious and historical places that are registered in historical monuments and do not have private ownership

3- Preventing damage to movable and immovable historical monuments

4- Preventing the change of situation – exploitation contrary to the approved regulations and restoration of permits for historical and cultural buildings and sites

5- Investigating how to use popular news in the city and organize and collect information

6- Continuous disobedience to works and communication with the city area

7- Full understanding of the location of the registered works in the city

8- Identifying the points where the most excavations take place

9- Identification of damages under the protection of each city

10- Determining the priority regarding the protection policies of museums, historical monuments and ancient hills and historical sites

11- Determining the necessary plans for the protection of museums and historical monuments, ancient hills and historical sites

12- Preparing and setting the necessary instructions (job description) regarding the duty of security personnel

13- Cooperating with the legal office and other relevant units of the organization regarding the prevention of crimes against historical and cultural monuments
